I am pumped.
And that black guitar that Josh is playing sure looks like Derek's old black Martin...
OK this is a really musically ignorant question, but do you really use all those guitars? Do different guitars give distinctly different sounds? Just curious
dang you for having such cool gear.
you're awesome nonetheless :)
So hot it hurts.
amazing!!!
can't wait for the new cd...
Not all of those acoustics are yours. I'm just sayin'.
[And yes, I owe you that photo of you playing my ancient Gibson. I was a slacker yesterday.]
Chris: Yes, he does, and yes, they do.
Hah Stephen, I was going to say the exact same thing. ;) It does indeed look like Derek's battered Martin...
i think some guy from derek's .com bought his martin off e-bay. So i would presume thats not his.
Wow, I think Martin must be putting out a limited edition "derek" acoustic then because it does look exactly like that one of his...
This isn't the best picture, but compare and contrast the guitars:

andrew,
is there a title to this project yet? what kind of vibe is coming up as you are making progress?
just curious. you may not beable to answer those yet.
hope all is well.
stephen cavness (different person than "stephen" on here)
Josh!
I read somewhere that In "The Company of Angels II" was not the follow up album to "Share the Well" that the band wanted to do...not sure if that is true or not...
but, is THIS newest project going to be what the band wants to do?
so yeah...that is totally derek's martin.
I have such gear envy.
I am trying to catch up, though. I just ordered a modified Sojourner from Rick Felkel of Elloree guitars. That means to catch up for AO's collection of guitars I only only have 1...2...3...4..5...6...7....er.....8.....oh crap.
I think I'll stick with my "trio."
Being the gear geek that I am... was that a Moog in the background of the first photo?
Tony: I do believe so, from what I remember. I was paying more attention to the guitars, though. [In that second picture, my guitar is the vintage Gibson Dove acoustic on the far right. Andy may never give back to me. ;)]
And as far as Josh playing Derek's old Martin ... he'd flown into Nashville either late Friday night or early Saturday morning and probably just needed a guitar to borrow for the day.
drew, is Caedmon's Call still on SONY-BMG?
AO - how does that Slingerland kick sound under mics?
Michael: Caedmon's is independent. Their record deal with Essential is complete. INO is the strong rumor on who's doing distribution.
oh thanks man..:-)
