What a week

Wow, the first of our four weeks here is done and the second began this afternoon.  400 amazing campers were here and now 450 new ones are running an obstacle course outside.  It is craziness, but it's been wonderful.

The girls are having a great time meeting everybody and getting to dress like cowgirls and seeing skits.  Alison and I are enjoying making new friends involved with YoungLife in other parts of the country.  Really some amazing people.

And it was a blast this week getting to know the campers that were here.  I shared some of my life story throughout the week, as well as a song every night, and a few kids found me to talk about ways our stories were similar.  I was really honored and grateful to have those few minutes of conversation.  I don't know if I said anything wise or inspiring, but I hope just being there to talk with was good.  I know sometimes I just need to have somebody to stand with me for a minute and understand what I'm going through.

Anyway, it was a very tiring, but powerful week.  I'm going to hurry up and get to bed so I can have energy for tomorrow.

And to any of you guys who were here this week who found my site:  Thank you!!  I hope the week was truly wonderful.   It was a real pleasure getting to serve you.  Hope to see you again soon.

Hey Andy. I was at camp from June 28 to July 3 and I wanted to let you know how amazing it was talking to you and hearing your story and your amazing talent. What I love about your songs is the message they have in them. It's hard to find that in music and even harder to find GOOD music that sends the right messages like yours. Wish I could have spent another week listening to you even if it was a repeat! Love your album I bought, it's definitely goin on the iPod! Wish the Pearce sand volleyball club were starting this year luck!

Hey Andy, I also attended camp from June 28-July 3. Your music and life story is an inspiration to me. As I told you when I said good bye, you've helped me through so much this past week. Thank you so much. God bless you and you're family.
