much better

Yeah, Saturday's show was better. In fact, I'll say it was pretty great. We added a tune, totaling 24, I think. LONG show. But fun. Thanks so much to all the Colorado folks who made it out. They were the most excited crowd yet. "Two Weeks in Africa" got everybody to their feet, which was a great experience. Songs I write don't usually do that!!

I'm home now, we've got two weeks until the next Caedmon's show, a little over a week until my Birthday show here in Nashville. Alison is going to Chicago with family for a few days tomorrow, so it'll just be me and the girls until Friday. I'm a little nervous, I won't lie. But it will be fun. I'm cramming today to get everything done since I know the rest of the week I'll be sort of AWOL from work stuff.

I feel like I had something else to tell you, but I can't remember right now, so I'll post again in a few if I think of it.

Is this where I request songs to be added to the list for the PA run? Now, I know you're thinking, "You don't live anywhere near there!" True. But I'm flying up Sunday for the Langhorne show and back first thing Monday morning to go to work. BECAUSE I CAN.

So I think that entitles me to a song request. ;)

Oh man. Now I have to decide whether I'm going to that show too or not. =P When was that one added to the list?!

was the thing you forgot to tell us the fact that you're job is way cooler than most of ours?

Hi Andy...

My wife and I really enjoyed the concert in Denver. As you can relate to, we don't get out much with two daughters under 6. Sadly, the last Caedmon's Call concert I went to was not in this century, so this is my first introduction to you and I never saw Caedmon's w/o Derek. Your "I'm a professional" line really cracked us up. I can't imagine how many lyrics you have to know by heart. We enjoyed your "solo" set. Hope you will continue to be a part of Caedmon's in the years to come!

Have fun with your girls!

Hey Andy, I was wondering what do you use for Reverb? It sounded great

February 11, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterBrandon

Hey Brandon - I use the reverbs on my amps, the Bad Cat Cub II and the Fender ProSonic. I only use verb on one tune, though, the rest of the time it's just the Boss DD20 delay, which has some verb-ish qualities to it. Thanks for asking!

Brandon - you just made AO's week.

I take it the Ask Me about my pedal board T-shirts are being taken literally!

Andy, are you going to have the free EPs in time for the PA shows? How about the pedalboard? I'm trying to get a bunch of people to come to the Lancaster show...dunno yet how many will.

Andrew, Hey I am going to butcher this description but I really dug the foot stompin song you sang during the set in Denver where Cliff, Danielle and Derek backed you up and the song built up to all of you guys doing this cool harmonizing thing. Ring a bell? sweet song, where can I find it? oh yeah and the free EP is kickin!

Your Denver show ROCKED!!! It was so great! I'm too embarassed to tell you my age, but suffice it to say it's been a looooooooooooong time since I sang and danced at a concert... and yours was terrific! I thoroughly embarrassed my two daughters in tow. Thanks for coming out West!
