ready to get home

Had a fun show in Canada. Josh Moore is my bass-playing, last-minuting hero. Yet again, we're getting up in four hours, but this time we're flying home. I can't wait to see my girls.
I'm playing a show in Nashville(ish) in a couple weeks, as well, and I'd like to see you there. Here's a poster with the info. Joe and the folks putting this on are great and I really hope we can get a good turnout for him.

Finally, I've gotten a lot of good response about my need for an intern. However, because I don't yet HAVE the intern, I haven't had a chance to comb through and get back to those folks yet. Hang tight and I'll try to get to it this coming week.
Thanks to everybody who came out to the show in Winnipeg tonight, especially the crew who drove 14 hours from Alberta. You guys were amazing. All right, I'm going to get a little sleep. I'll write again once I've spent some time with my family.

I even wrote a haiku about it:

P.S. I have some free days coming up. Can I audition as an intern?
Oooh, now that should be fun!
I can also be your bass playing hero. I'm moving to Nashville and I'm dying to play! So if you can't get in touch with anyone, just holla!

Is this the place you'll be playing on the 14th?
"college and career night"
sounds a bit dated.
Yah, that's the place it's going to be.
It's up in Goodlettsville, TN, off of Long Hollow Pike,
THe concept is a bit dated, but we're looking for ways to meet people in the 18-29 age group, and hey, I can't think of something else to call people in that age group.
By the way, it's not exclusive to that age group at all, so everyone feel free to come out. There's a band from Bloomington, IN, that's coming down that's really awesome.
Ha. College career night with everyone's favorite dropout.
Ouch, Wes - I wouldn't call making amazing music, supporting a family, and playing a vital role in the premier Christian band of the last twenty years being a "drop out"...
Dude. I'll bet your stoked to see the girls. That's so cool that you guys had a good trip. I've loved the cc.net updates this past week. My favorite post was the video of you guys saying the slogan for that televangelist gig. Nothing but playful mockery... and it was so enjoyed by me :)
And dude. I'm missing my Osenga fix. It's almost been a year. If I get you guys up here, or if I get my bad self over there (assuming Geof isn't driven crazy by me), let's hang.

So, Joe, you don't mind if any slightly gray-haired Baptists sneek in?
Anyone can sneak in. It's absolutely free.
By the way, the address is 372 Caldwell Drive, Goodlettsville, TN 37072.
It's right off of Long Hollow Pike, like 15 minutes from the center of town.
For the record, the Good Shepherd Band is a worship band from Bloomington, IN that is completely comprised of master's degree students at Indiana University. If the amassed awesomeness of Andrew Osenga in concert isn't enough to bring you out, come out for these guys.
My wife and I were at the show last night in Winnipeg. As long time huge fans of Caedmon's, it was a real treat to catch only the 2nd Canadian appearance ever. Thanks to you and the rest of the band for a great show. The new songs sounded real good, and I can't wait to pick up the new album. Your solo stuff was great as well, and I will spread the word about ilikeandy.com
Thanks again.

GFM <-- hasn't seen Mr. Osenga since ... June?
listening to the new album..."Hold The Light" is classic Osenga...oh how I wish Andy would get enough attention to leave CC and do his solo thing full time.
also...whoever came up with that "Holy, Holy, Holy" part that Danielle sings is deserving of the title "musical genius".
I think there are three great songs (and several I would classify as "good") on this album...and two of them are the bonus tracks. (?!) And "Hold The Light"
CC just sways a bit too much towards the "pop" end of "pop folk" for my usual tastes.
Two Weeks In Africa sounds a whole lot like Volcano from Share the Well...
Is it too harsh of me to say that Andy's talent is not being taken full advantage of in this band? If so...tough. ;)
P.S. I am really starting to appreciate "Expectations"
it is both creative and insightful
I agree Bo. Hold the Light is classic Osenga, and would be right at home on the brand new Normals album. That is in the works, right?
it should be, wes.....it should be. (said in a yoda voice)
