Interesting Day

Well, today was, um... interesting. I woke up, did two hours of radio interviews over the phone in my hotel room. Derek and I shared a room and I'd hear him laughing at me from under his covers everytime he heard me answer a question with "Caedmon was a monk..."
We're off early, early in the morning to a show in Canada. We just found out that our bass player Aaron's passport expired last month and he can't go. Not sure what exactly we're going to do, but I'm sure it will work out. I haven't been to Canda in a few years, so it should be fun.
Cason, Will, Paul and Tyler are on Leno tonight, playing with Mat Kearney, so I'm staying awake to catch them. Again, thanks to everybody who's picked up the record and passed along a kind word. If you want to see more details of our past few days head over to caedmonscall.net to read Bryan's blog (and see some of his video clips).
Also, here's a clip of the song "Ten Thousand Angels" from our Houston show. The song is one of the two bonus tunes from Overdressed. Stepping out for the guitar solo wasn't decided until after Derek started the tune, but I really liked how it turned out. Hope you enjoy it.
All right, Mat and the boys did great and I'm going to try to sleep. Canada, here we come!!

was hinn able to regenerate your severed toe?
Yeah, the tv station was like super-80s or something, and it definitely seems like you guys get stuck answering lame things. You should be like "see our Wikipedia"
glad you liked the video :)
"After leaving Carrie..."
Heh. For a second I thought, "Wow...these guys really need some help. It was one thing to leave Bryan, but...."
Anyway...might want to throw a comma in there or somethin'.
Can't wait til I can get off of work and check out that video. Which reminds me to ask: is there anywhere I can find the entire TV interview? Just so I can feel awkward *for* all of you.
nice video .... your solo reminded me of everything that i loved about the normals.
I play bass, AND my passport expired last month too! Wow! :)
Hehe, I've explained the origins of Caedmon's Call's name to several people (I'm a medieval lit. freak), and so I can imagine how that would get old for you guys.
the solo in 10,000 angels is brilliant.
i think that christian tv is so awesome. i only have christian tv, along with my christian pants.
Caedmon was a monk?
Shaun and I are in Canada tonight too, eh. Have a safe trip.
If you don't like Christian TV and radio, why do you do it? It seems a little hypocritical to do the interviews for monetary reasons if you really feel that way about it.
seems like there's a lot of people commenting on caedmon's blogs these days who won't leave their email addresses or website links. Mike, do you work at daystar? just curious.
hey AO, just got my copy of overdressedand spun it on my way to a wedding rehearsal last night. thanks for writing two weeks in africa. it is the sweetest song.
and thanks for 'sacred' as well. my wife is my hero and has the hardest and most important job in the world and i appreciated that song sooo much.
you inceasantly rock
i think the focus should be directed towards the purpose, Ministry.... i know there is alot of things that look dumb to me, but may not be dumb someone else.... we are all entitled to our opinions.... but that doesn't give us the right put our brothers and sisters in christ down because the ministry they do, or the way their building looks... or because they want to put you on tv seems a lil cheesy
and yes i work there, and i'm not gonna lie you guys did an awesome job, i enjoy ya'lls music.... you guys are all anointed, and God has purpose for your lives.... he didn't give you that talent for nothing.....
i don't want to seem like some wierd guy who is just angry because someone said something bad about where he works, and leave dumb comebacks on a blog, thats not what i'm aiming for.
im just saying lets focus on Gods will, lets show Jesus to the world, not show the world more world......
Got impatient waiting for the iTunes release and found a copy of the new record at a Borders here in Columbus. I love "Hold the Light" (again, you wrote a song that's inspired me to take the next step from where I'm at...hit the nail right on the head) and "Two Weeks in Africa" is really growing on me.
As far as Mat Kearney, I happened to be experiencing some insomnia that night and actually caught the performance. I couldn't remember if Mat was the guy that Cason, etc. played with or not, but I was sitting there like "Man, that bass player sure looks like Cason Cooley." I guess I was right. Was surprised he wasn't on keys. It was a pretty good performance, I thought.
