Backstage background vocals

We got almost done with vocals by Wednesday, but we still had a few things left over so I heaved a veritable ton of equipment onto a series of very small airplanes to get it here in Minnesota. I set it up in the dressing room of tonight's venue. (See Figure 1)

After my glorious all-nighter, of which I'm sure I'll need another to get finished in time, I was thrilled to see that everything worked when I got it plugged up. (See Figure 2)

Cliff and I threw some more background vocals on the songs "Sacred" and "There is a Reason". (See Figure 3)

All right, have to go play. Talk to you soon.

Wow...talk about dedication!

All this extra effort just makes me that much more excited about this record!

Hope all goes well tonight, and best of luck as recording continues...

That is crazy cool that you can lug all that equipment around and record pretty much anywhere! I can't wait for this record and for the 2nd official announcement!

I was at the show in ROCHESTER (not Minneapolis!) tonight, and it was awesome! The all-nighter thing is working for you, AND I would just call that song "Stay with Me." (I'm the guy who asked you about Jordan). God bless--I've bookmarked this site and will be back.

I second Andrew on both the show and the song name. The show was amazing. Thanks for chatting after the show. I hope you get some sleep.

Why don't you give that boy a little bit more headphone cable slack?

I second Wes on the cable slack question. Cliff's really on a leash isn't he? (:

Care to comment on what your mobile recording setup was? Does that piece of studio foam on the mic stand work well to cut background noise?

So, you found a digi 002 after all!! Thats great. Our mobile recording setup consists of a 4 space rack filled to the brim with an 002 and firewire hard drives. H-E-A-V-Y. I can't imagine lugging that on a plane. Thats dedication baby!!

I was in Rochester too, great show! This was the first time I made it to a Caedmon's Call show. What was the name of the bass player, Trip _____? He played an amazing solo! Thanks again, what a show!

(unshunned) Trip Wamsley! He played with you guys again? Great! He's a phenom. If he ever gets tired, I could always fill in, you know... Nothing against Jeff, mind you.

you should put a song list on your next official announcement

Great set at Autumn Ridge Church all involved. I was glad that you got a little set of your own Andy. I really enjoy concerts that showcase individuals within the band.

And yes... Trip Wamsley was amazing. And he didn't lie when he said his website was down because he forgot to re-register it!

Glad you enjoyed the ARC:Studio Complex, hope to you guys back soon.
