tonight I almost bought a bike at WalMart

Today was a great day. Just about every meeting and thing I had to do got moved around and never happened and I hung out with Ella all day and got to take a nap! Wow. Life shouldn't be this good.

The only big bummer going on right now is that both of our cars are nearing their respective ends. We're starting the car shopping process, but it's a little frightening and we're needing a couple pretty great deals. If you could say a little prayer for our family in our search, we would really appreciate it. I'll let you know when they get answered.

I started the obligatory MySpace page for The Normals tonight. Right now we have two friends. Please help fix that. I'll get more stuff up on the page as I get time, but I thought it might be a nice way to connect with old fans.

Tomorrow we'll wrap up most of Kevin Lawson's record and this weekend will be the first I've spent at home in almost three months. Can't tell you how awesome that is. Thanks for stopping by.

You need to get GOB's segway, I'm not sure how you'd get a car seat on there though. Maybe with... MAGIC!!! *cue final countdown music*

Also, I like that Cason is called a "music ninja" on The Normals myspace page. That's freakin' awesome!

I found this to be quite hilarious...especially the part where it says that the Normals sound like Creed...here is a link to The Normals page on www.allmusic.com, it's funny, you should read it.

And for good measure, here is Andy O's page (although it has no content):

Oh, also, if you go look at the Normals allmusic page, be sure to click on the albums and read the reviews (there isn't one for Coming To Life). They say that A Place Where You Belong is the best and I'd be hard pressed to disagree, although Coming To Life is a VERY close second. I know how much Andy wishes Better Than This didn't exist, but the review on their is just hilarious especially these few sentences...

"Hook-filled pop rock; nasal, aching lead vocals coupled with soaring harmonies. Decent songwriting with self-effacing humor courtesy of Andrew Osenga's lyrics, which sometimes seem a little downtrodden, if observant (in one song, "Everything," the singer, not knowing how to comfort a sad waitress, says, "I leave a tip like I think Jesus would"). Sometimes the band is weighed down by an intentional obscurity — the title track, for example, sounds fantastic, but doesn't make much sense, though not in a profitable way (e.g., the surreal imagery of R.E.M.'s "Wendell Gee"). "

I will not be your MySpace friend, Andy. I choose to pretend that MySpace doesn't exist. ;)

I just put in a friends request. Consider me in.

Man, if I could relive that day I bought Coming to Life. "The Best I Can" still has to be my all time favorite song from the 3 records. With you on the harmonica at the end, it just makes me happy all over again. But since I am another MySpace "un-fanatic," I'll just tell others who have an account to put in friends request.

I second the segway... you could even get a little bag on the front that says "Andy" on it.
