corporate sponsorship

First off, I would like to publicly thank my corporate sponsor, the Vicks Corporation, (and primarily their products NyQuil and DayQuil) for making my days on this tour possible. And by that I mean that I've been sick as a dog and primarily existing solely on the afore-mentioned digestibles.
I've been out on the tour for two days now and it's been great. We played the first of two shows in Houston last night and are about to soundcheck for #2. I left my Strat at home accidentally, which I can not believe, but Andy Gullahorn brought an old Strat his dad bought him at an FBI auction years ago. It has one of those 80's bridges with the whammy bar and, providentially, the house sound guy was a guitar tech as well and taught me about the springs in the back of the guitars and how to "lock down" the bridge. It worked and was fun to learn. And the guitar is blue.
Randall Goodgame showed up last night through some random coincidences and played last night's show and tonight's as well. Turns out he's on the same flight home as I am tomorrow, which is great. I get back to Nashville tomorrow at noon. I'll be sad to leave the tour, but very glad to be back home.
All right, I have to go soundcheck now.

Dude. sicky poo. sad times.
...that was retarded.
But man, I wish I could see a show from this tour. But sadly, Washington is not on the list. I hope you feel better man. And the due date for the little one is winding closer, eh? ... that is so great.
I am praying.
Hey Andy,
Great show last night! I've been trying to get out to the Christmas concert for 2ish years now... unfortunately, a wreck and getting lost kept us from getting to the church until an hour into the concert (Sandra singing "shelter"), but for the 3/4 we did see the concert was amazing... BtLoG live is absolutely amazing, esp. you guys' stage chemistry.
And for what it's worth, you didn't sound sick... and I saw a lot of people with non-BtLoG CDs last night. Woohoo!
So will there be no electrified guitar for the rest of the tour? Is Gullahorn going to cover some of the parts for you? This is serious business you know.
I concur! Who shall play the little blue guitar? Who shall Gullahorn make sly nickname based jokes about (tosenga)? Who will grab those difficult harmonizations?
The word I heard is that Gullahorn will be doing the electric parts in AO's absence.
Brilliant shows these past 2 nights. I couldn't have asked for a better time. Thanks so much for coming down.
Eric Peters will be doing some of what Andy was doing (BGV's, a turn in the round, etc.)
Here's to wishing you could make it to Ohio . . .
. . . speaking of which, my church just added a "concerts" line item to the budget. Not sure how much we'll have to spend, but I'm just sayin . . .
DayQuil is the lifeblood that flows through the veins of champions!
