a few random bits

Yesterday and today have been wonderful days off. I was needing them pretty badly. I was getting worn out. A few of us did a little Square Peg fundraiser last night for a low-income couseling service in Franklin, TN. It was fun, though I doubt we really helped them that much. Here are just a few of the things that I've been thinking recently:
"Ella, it's not even daylight yet"
Eric Peters is like the quiet ninja who busts out at the last minute and kills all the other ninjas. He's great.
My friend, and neighbor, Kenny is in the hospital right now. This happens often, but this one sounds bad. I'm going to visit him after lunch. Please pray.
Upon Randall's suggestion, I just put in a library request for a book titled Why You Can't Be Anything You Want To Be which I'm really excited to read.
Ella and I went to Target today and on the way home we stopped to look at some baby cows. That's right, we pass cows on the way to Target. I love this city. She just learned the baby sign language for "more" and has been walking around saying "moo" and signing for "more". She loved those cows.
Alison and I are really digging the show Studio 60.
Favorite Billy Cerveny quote from last night: "death is a sign of weakness."
Alison just got home with the groceries, I'm going to help her bring them in. Later.

Yea! for husbands who help bring in the groceries. Since my husband works from home, he's always here when I return from the store and after lugging two kids around the store it's such a blessing to not have to bring in all the bags!
Good job Andrew.
I agree about Studio 60. It's my favorite show that's on now, and the episodes keep getting better.
The line about Eric Peters made me laugh. It's funny because it's true.
Your library may have an easier time acquiring the book under its re-issued title, "Power of Uniqueness." Or, it may not. Either way, happy reading.
It sounds as though you also make that illegal right hand turn out of Target's parking lot. For shame, Andrew. For shame...
(but we're entitled, right?)
that EP quote sounds like something Dwight would say :)
no
The BC quote
Sorry... :)
Yay for cows and using signs with babies! I'm pretty much amazed at how many words my 21 month-old niece can understand and use when you combine the words she says and the ones she signs. :-)
Kids are the best. We found out this morning that our 10 month old daughter Anna knows to turn on the stereo when you say "Music."
Amazing!
[i]Studio 60[/60] is really good. Pretty much anything written by Sorkin is really good.
Rock ON! I LOVE that you put in a plug for Studio 60 Andy!! I came in late to this show so I've only seen two eps so far (really bummed that it's getting pre-empted for Friday Night Lights next week) but both of them have been amazingly good. I missed Sorkin during The West Wing so this is my first experience with his work- Studio 60 is without a doubt my favorite thing to watch right now! Okay I'll stop rambling now- I'll be praying for Kenny. Be Blessed Andy!

Cows? Hmmm...I've got more pictures of our 9 cats on my blog today...we have 2 adult cats and 7 kittens, 5 of the kittens are 3 weeks old and the others are almost 5 months old, come see sometime, and I'd love to know what Ella says when she sees them... I will pray for Kenny, hope all is ok. Oh and I take it Ella wakes up rather early? Cute~
If you all would like to see a very short clip of AO playing Todd's drumset...

"Ella its not even daylight yet"..... just wait till Fall Back! (something I'm dreading with our 2 year old and 5 month old.... *sigh*)
On another note.... you're coming to our church on Sunday night to do a solo concert..... and my hubs Jud tells me you're a Settlers fan..... wish you were in town longer and could play Cities and Knights with a few folks.....
