Apparently, Austin, TX doesn't have enough live music...

My wife and I are going to take a little trip to Austin, TX the week after next. I thought it might be worth trying to find a place to play while we're down there, something to help offset the cost of our trip.
Does anybody down that way know of a church or coffeehouse or houseshow-type thing where a man might be able to sing some songs and cover a couple plane tickets? Shoot me an email if you have any ideas. Thanks!

andy, you want to give riverbend church a shot. they've got a great set up and lots of resources. you can check out the church at www.riverbend.com - their pastor they really make a point to celebrate God-gifted musicians in austin and seeing as you more than fit the bill... the might be willing to check out your cheese (lame i know, its late give a guy a break).
Hey Andy I'm excited to hear that you'll be in A-town soon! There's a pretty decent venue called Waterloo Ice House on 6th and Lamar you might want to check out. www.waterlooicehouse.com (512)472-5400. My now defunct band played there a few times and we had a lot of fun plus it's right by Waterloo records and close to downtown so it's just a cool place to be in general. If you wind up with a gig in Austin please let us know when and where!
Hey Tom, I forgot about Waterloo, that'd be a great place... I wonder what qualifications you have to meet to do an in-store concert... there's another Waterloo location on 38th street, I wonder if that would be an option if the other location falls through? I don't know enough about this kind of thing, but I'm excited about the possibilities of a spur-of-the-moment concert :D
Andy, email me and lets talk. We might be able to work something out.
hey andy my buddy charles gates used to live in austin and he was a concert promoter in austin (both christian and secular) he might be able to help. here is his email charles @ mac.com i live here in austin but can't think of any place you could play. i go to a reformed presbyterian church and we don't have concerts here or i would have you play for us.
Did you ever come up with a venue? If you didn't, let's find someone's house and take $25 a head for all the die-hard Osenga fans in Austin to come see ya. Who's with me!
8pm Tuesday, July 1st @ Local Color Austin Gallery. 1700 S. Lamar, Austin Texas 78758. Localcoloraustin.com
I noticed the facebook invitation to this event got canceled. Is it still on?
i sent andy a message to his myspace so see if he would like to have a house show at my place in cedar park.
Andy had a last minute scheduling issue. Expect a blog post from him sometime soon.
