On the way to Dallas

I'm on an airplane from Houston to Dallas, on my way to tonight's Caedmon's show at The Door. I'm pretty excited to play this weekend, as I'm introducing two new elements to my rig. Fender sent me a Jazzmaster guitar, one I've been dreaming about for years. And it's wonderful. So tonight will be the first time playing that live.
And I've got my new pedalboard finished up. I'll have to do some final touches once I get to the venue today, but it's been up and in use for a couple weeks now. Josh, uber-assistant at Sputnik, finished up rehousing my Space Station pedal last night (way too late, poor guy) and that was the last piece. There will be a learning curve to the new board, I'm sure, so I may be in for some surprises tonight, but I'm ready.
I was able to finish up a couple lingering projects this week, and it's nice to not have stuff hanging over my shoulder when I leave town for a few days. Alas, I wasn't able to take pictures of the pedals, guitars and etc. that I'll be putting up for sale yet, so hopefully I can get that taken care of next week.
Well, the lady just told me to shut my computer off. Bye.

Hope the shows go awsome and that you enjoy the new guitar and gear. I'm kinda glad you didn't get the pics of the stuff your selling up yet cause that gives me time to finish ebaying stuff i'm selling.
Enjoy Texas!
Aw, the Door. The first time I saw the Normals play was at the Door.
Hey, Andy, it was awesome to see you play tonight. I'm the guy with the long hair and beard that talked to you after the show. I'm glad the sound issues got worked out before your set. Though I felt bad for Derek. Oh well, the show awesome. I couldn't even tell that it was a new board. And the Fender was incredible. I was drooling...well, not literally, but in the fellow guitar player sort of way. Anyway, thank you for playing and I hope to see you play a full set of your own songs next time. Much love.

See ya in Austin tomorrow night!
Hey Andy,
Thanks for playing a great show last night!! Your guitars were amazing and inspiring!
Also, great argyle shoes!!
Take care!
Matt
wow . . . . . . that performance of "Hold the Light" was absolutely amazing!!! I have been to at least 70 concerts over the years and I can't think of many live songs that can touch what we witnessed last night. I told my wife that I wouldn't want to follow your performance and then Danielle said the exact same thing. We wanted to hang out afterwards with you all but had to get home to the babysitter. I am jealous of the folks in Austin and Houston who get to see you do it again this weekend
Did anyone happen to get a recording of it??? If so please share so that everyone can enjoy!
Hey Andy,
Thank you SO MUCH for playing in Austin on Friday. It really blessed me and excited me to get to hear you guys just totally busting out with some serious musical excellence and maturity (something that is often missing in Christian music today!). I nearly wet myself with those crazy guitar solos...the Jazzmaster sounds great...and I know I had a lot of laughs along the way, too. Please keep writing, encouraging, and being open about humanity & struggles... Thanks again!
