Captain Complain-o
Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 10:01AM
Not to be Captain Complain-o, but there are a few things in life right now that are just sort of making me miserable. Two things, actually.
1. Big Girls Don't Cry by Fergie.
and
2. the theme song to the cartoon show Clifford the Big Red Dog.
For whatever reason I can not get either of these songs out of my head. It's gone on for days. I think it might be a virus. Does anyone know any medicine that can cure me of these ills? I'm thinking of grabbing the cordless screwdriver and just doing a little surgery upstairs if I can't get anything else playing on the FM up there.
Any suggestions?

Wow, I can't believe it hasn't been said yet, but, Andy has a virus and the only cure is more cowbell http://www.funnyhub.com/videos/pages/snl-more-cowbell.html. (I mean, this is still the internet, right?)
Try listening to some Andrew Osenga, that always cures my ills.
Me...? Brown nosing...? NOOOOOO!
1. Pick out your favorite U2 CD or Live DVD.
2. Hit Play.
3. Repeat step 2 until needed.
Clifford the Big Red Dog is a duche...there I said it.
for me it is usually the theme songs from
*higgley town heroes (by "they might be giants".. so thats kinda awesome!!)
*my friends tigger and pooh
*little einsteins
i find the trick is to make up your own words each time the song goes through your head...for example
"my friends tigger and roo, we're throwing poo(h) at each other..."
this is especially helpful since i only know about 35% of the words to these songs anyway...

Dude Looks Like A Lady by Aerosmith is the cure-all for a song stuck in the head. Seriously.
Its not your fault.
Listen, it's not your fault.
It's not your fault.
It's not your fault...
"It's not your fault"
Russ, I think you forgot the first three lines here:
Smelly cat, smelly cat
What are they feeding you?
Smelly cat, smelly cat
It's not your fault
Around our house, it's "The Smurf Jingle" or "The Darth Vader Theme" which come out of someone's mouth and lodge in everyone else's heads.
"This Is The Song That Never Ends", anyone?
I'd recommend Good Day Sunshine by The Beatles.
Or "Walken" off Wilco's latest record Sky Blue Sky
Try some Needtobreathe.
