an exciting ride
Sunday, July 1, 2007 at 01:01AM
Sometimes you get worn out and you just have to slow down a bit. Sometimes it's in your bones, sometimes in your mind, and sometimes in your heart. I think it's been all three for me this past week, and I haven't put in the time on here I usually do.
I've been spending the bulk of my days doing all the various jobs I've done the past few years (guitar player, songwriter, band member, producer, engineer, solo artist, etc...) and trying to answer the question "what do you do?"
It's been getting me out of the headphones and into a lot more focused conversation than I'm used to. Some days it's had me ready to apply for a job at WalMart, some days I've felt like I was about to take over the world. Often, I go back and forth six times a day.
I know it's going somewhere, though, and it's an exciting ride.

Hey, somtimes that job at walmart is the ride God want's us to take. But for you, I think the Lord has other plans....keep using your talents for HIS glory.
peace
keep pushing onward and inward.

Andy,
As much as you have pushed me to think about my beliefs in the past few months, I think you will figure it out. Whatever you do you will do it with the same excellence and thoughtfulness you have done everything else in your career.
Peace,
Jason
Mr Osenga, I beleive that youre answer to that question should always be, "I'm a grown man, I do whatever I feel like."
Joking aside, I hope that you find an answer that youre happy, or at least content, with.
I also think the photo of you talking to yourself at the top is very appropriate.

One thing I have found that gets me through the droughts--where I begin questioning so much, wondering what the Lord has for me, what He wants for me, what I want for myself, how long do I wait, etc.--is merely being regularly involved with serving someone...even just one person...but someone that is outside my friends, family, etc. Christ called us to serve and boy does it charge the Holy Spirit when we do!
What do you do? ...continue to be a Father, a husband, and serve others. The rest will be the fun that He gives you! He will see you through!
andrew,
the answer will never...*never* be
'work at wal-mart"
never.
