some research

Question: If you could have any sort of magical ability or super power, but just one thing, what would it be?
Also, click here for a very long, but interesting, read. I'd love to know any thoughts or other perspectives on this.

For my own weird reasons, the ability to manipulate light and fire.
I suppose you would call it the power to make time stand still... except I would be able to move around like normal, with the world frozen around me, and get done all the mundane things in life that I'd rather not spend 'real' time doing (ie laundry, dishes, etc.). However, I would only want this power if I didn't age during the 'frozen' time.
cheney is a badass! 4 more years!
Proof once again that Bush's biggest mistake has been surrounding himself with the wrong people. Too many unqualified, agenda-driven people and "yes-men".
Oh, and I want mow yards with my mind. You should see my yard right now.
Crap, I need to learn to type.... I want TO BE ABLE TO mow yards with my mind... and the power to proofread my own blog posts.
I like Will Ferrell's answer about the superpowers. He said his desired superpower was being able to vomit at will. He said he could get out of any situation with that power.
I can agree with that.
I read the first couple of installments of the article and that tiny print was starting to get to me. But any, some thoughts -
It sheds more light on why Colin Powell insists he is not interested in running for any political office. Also on why the Prez is so supportive of Alberto Gonzales. Nothing I read was particularly surprising to me.
A couple of random thoughts concerning Cheney -
If the war in Iraq had gone well, most people wouldn't care about any of this stuff.
If he had been born at any other time in history, he would be dead by now. He's a miracle of modern medicine. I sometimes wonder if he feels he's living on borrowed time and if that is somehow reflected in his actions.
As for super powers - I always think it's cool in the movies when a character has the ability to heal others.
alove: Cheney is extremely qualified. He's also extremely agenda-driven.
Sorry, should have clarified. The unqualified part referred to other members of Bush's staff who could only have gotten their jobs through connections/favors, etc. You're right that Cheney is qualified, but the dude knows what he wants and how to get it. I also hear he's pretty good with a shotgun.
I think a really cool superpower would be the ability to hear people's prayers. Not all their thoughts, just what they pray to God. Wouldn't that give you a really cool perspective?....
I've long admired and respected Dick Cheney. When he was defense secretary during The Gulf War, I told myself that if he ever ran for President, I'd vote for him. He's as unflappable as anybody I've ever seen, totally principled, wise, and--surprisingly to some--kind and compassionate.
I’d wish for infinite wishes…oh wait…
The ability to drive a nail straight the first time.
