Believe it or not, this site is actually about music.

All day Friday my song "After the Garden" off of The Morning will be available for free download on the site MyFreeMusicFriday.com. Click the green banner below to take you there, but be aware, it's only on Friday.

And speaking of music that's cheap and available very soon, Caedmon's Call's new album Overdressed is now available for pre-sale on caedmonscall.com.

If you pre-order the record you'll get the bonus edition which features two additional songs. I'm not going to lie to you, they're two of the best ones, I think. Derek and I sing them and I want you guys to hear them.

Also, for a limited time on the Caedmon's site, the cd's are going 2 for $12. It's like an annoying-car-dealer-commercial kind of great deal.

Click THE COVER to pre-order.

So does this mean that I would be getting two limited edition CDs, or is the limited edition CD a two-disk set?

Pre-ordered.

And it was good to see a mailing list email from you this evening, Andy :)

My question is the same as Brian's.

(laughing out loud on the inside at work cause i don't want to get fired when I saw the cover) that has to be the most awesome cover in the world. that's so cool that caedmons can also send you a messege with just the cover. Awesome. (thinking in my head...adam and eve fig leaf...overdressed...genius

Well yeah. I don't want to see what's under the fig leaf...

June 21, 2007 | Unregistered Commentertk

yeah! pre-ordering: done.

I ask the same as Brian and Jud.
2 albums for $12 or 1 album (2-disc set) for $12?
My father and I may have a brilliant deal on-hand if it's the first!

I was a bit confused while ordering (maybe just my cautious nature) but when it asked for a quantity I kept it at "1"....will I still get two cds?

also,

1. Who came up with the "fig" leaf idea for the cover? (Genius)

2. I need to pat myself on the back for immediately getting the intended reference ;)

Pre ordered yesterday- WOO the HOO! (you heard me... (: )

My question is the same as Bo's. I ordered the cd and the quantity said 1 but I was still charged $12- does that mean I'm getting two cds?

I just got the fig leaf reference now (to be fair I don't think I've ever seen a fig leaf). Very ingenious plus it just looks stinking cool! I love the color scheme for the album cover and how it matches the band photo! Good times.

Andy:
1. Sure, get us all riled up yesterday then lock the comments up. Very sneaky

2. Pre ordered today, totally psyched...

3. This is the best blog on the web.... seriously.

THIS IS THE BEST NEWS I HAVE HEARD ALL DAY! Check pre-ordering off my list.....next up....Greek Middle Voice....

June 21, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterMorgan

Awesome! My pre-order is in. I hope I get 2, cos I couldn't figure out how to oder 2 for $12. O well, 1 will still work :)

Bo:

I'm not sure if he came up with the actual cover idea but the fig leaf idea and album title come from the first song on the album which is written by Derek and called "Trouble".

"Oh you say I got trouble
I got trouble all over me
I got trouble since the day I was born
And it’s not just a struggle
No it’s the blood runnin’ through my veins
And it’s all the clothes I’ve ever worn
Cause when I’m with you I feel so overdressed"

Hope that helps. Here is some video I took of the song being played live.

BTW, I love the title of this blog post.
