linkapalooza

So yeah, yesterday some big Caedmon's news broke. We signed with INO Records, which has so far been fantastic, and our old buddy (and former member) Derek Webb has rejoined for the project. A couple links for those with time to kill:
- CLICK HERE for an interview I did with Geof Morris of caedmonscall.net about the new record.
- CLICK HERE for Geof's interview with Derek about the same.
- CLICK HERE for the "official" press release. (I had the photo yesterday as a link, but never mentioned it, so here you go...)
Needless to say, I'm really, really excited about this project. It's done now, actually done, and I'm so happy with how it turned out. I can't wait until we can start letting you in on hearing a little bit of it. You know you guys will be first in line.
I'm going to let this post simmer for a bit and then we (yes, you and I, dear reader) have got a brainstorming session that needs to happen, so keep checking back.

I'm really excited for you guys. When artists seem genuinely excited about what they are creating, it is usually genuinely great. That's how it went with Share the Well. And the new record seems like such a fresh chapter in the band's career that it can't be anything but great. Like I said, I'm really excited for you guys.
Hmm, grading projects that my students mostly cheated on, or listen to interviews about new CDs I'm excited about? Hard choice.
I love hearing you guys talking about this stuff. Way to be real.
I already did the brainstorming part and, one idea that keeps rising to the surface is a massive Caedmons tour that at some point passes through the middle of NY state. I'm just saying...
I am so excited for this CD that i am practically jumping out of my skin.....
Sorry so off topic, but so many people read here, I thought this would be a good place to post.
Post subject: job posting for music assistant position
I ran across this today and thought I would go ahead and post it just in case there is anyone out there in the ether who might be interested.
Tulip Grove Baptist Church (located in Old Hickory just east of Nashville) is accepting applications for the music assistant position. Applicants must be church members or willing to join the church if not currently a member. Applicants must have secretarial skills in addition to having a strong background in music. Applications are available in the church office and will be accepted through June 1.
Tulip Grove is a Southern Baptist church, if that is important one way or the other. It's located at 563 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN 37138
They have a website at www.tgbc.org
I've been a member there for about a year, so I'm a little partial to the church. I've moved around a lot and been in many different churches in many different places. You can't find better people than at TGBC.
Caedmon's Call has released 15 albums? I'm guessing they included the Guild albums... or I've got a big black hole in my collection (and my memory)
This plus the Lost finale is just too much goodness to handle in one day.
