Blades of Glory is awesome

Seriously. It was great. Nick and I watched it this afternoon cause we had a couple hours to kill.
Our flight here to Nebraska got seriously delayed yesterday and we ended up getting to the venue at 7 for a 7:30 show. A couple guys offered to sit in on drums and bass, and since I can never turn down the opportunity for a guitar solo I agreed. Well, our first rehearsal was last night's show. That, my friends, is rock and roll.
My mic cut out a couple times and our monitors were aimed Iowa, but it was fun. Here are a couple photos a kind fellow named Danny sent me...

I'm sitting here at the Foundry where we just watched one of the other bands soundcheck. Adam Weaver and the Ghosts. They seem really great, I can't wait to catch their set.
All right, it's dinner time. I'll drop in again later tonight or tomorrow.

I was so sorry I missed your show!! I had too much homework. I hope it went wonderfully. The Chatterbox is a very nice venue in FOR SURE the best part of Lincoln. Come back again soon!
Great show last night. You guys did great for never having played together. I'm new to your music and you have a great way with words. After seeing you last night I can say that you should never pass up the chance for a guitar solo. Especially if guys like Bret and Ron back you up.
Your performance tonight was spectacular and breathtaking. It was also wonderful and good. Thanks for doing what you do...
We were glad to hear y'all at the Chatterbox on Thursday. I was sitting with some friends on the floor on your left side, near the large amp. Which maybe wasn't the best place to sit because it was a bit overwhelmingly loud in some of the songs with the band. The downside of this: hard to hear your vocals and discern words. At first I thought you were singing "Jeremiah" instead of "Santa Barbara." It must take a lot of patience to travel so much and perform in so many unfamiliar locations with musicians you're not accustomed to playing with and sound systems you're unsure how to rely on. I'm glad you played "Kara"; I've always loved it. And I thought of requesting "Brittle Bone," my favorite, but you seemed to have your set list pretty well planned. Maybe next time. I especially enjoyed your last song, "Early in the Morning." The bar got so silent as you sang it. Up till that point, there was a pretty constant chatter in the room. But everyone got quiet, and we sang the echo, and it felt like we were in a church. When you sang "These days they are a river..." and "Let your love rage like a lion" I got chills up my arms the way I only ever get from music when I'm completely engulfed in experiencing it. Thanks for that. It was a welcome respite in the midst of a busy week. Next time you're near Lincoln, we'll be there.
I didn't pay Jon Bean to say that...
Jon: see you Sunday.
Andrew: had a great time at both shows. Thanks again. Hope to see you next time you're in town, and I'm always happy to contribute if you're up for it. Blessings to you, my friend.
Those pics remind me of a certain show in Arkadelphia at Thrios. Except neither of those other two guys have a beard that could touch Dave's.
holy crap - AO back in TX on the 14th...
WaHOO! Great show at the Foundry last night! It was really fun. Jared Strock and Adam Weaver were a good intro, too. But you're music is just so honest and real. Plus, numerous songs that hit home for a kid from central Illinois. So, to recap: great guitar solo, great passion, great night.
The show was great. My first one but still quality stuff.
Early in the Moment was awesome. It was also nice hearing the reasons why you wrote your recent stuff.
You are right. Blades of Glory was awesome. It is how babies are made.
