1. TOP GUN - This movie was AWESOME when I was 15. Now I see it on TV and simply can not sit through it. Awful acting, cheezy story line, and the volleyball scene? Where did that come from? Seriously bad and probably caused counless schmucks to enlist for 4 years in the navy.
2. Pee Wee's big adventure
3. Bill and Ted's Big Adventure
4. House Party (...I'm the one with the high-top-fade...)
5. Breakin' (starring Shabba Doo)(I owned parachute pants)

3. Karate Kid
4. Karate Kid 2

In no particular order:
Night of the Comet (1984; big crush on Catherine Mary Stewart after the movie projection room scene)
Can't Buy Me Love
Escape to Witch Mountain (I don't know... I think I still like it)
Snoopy, Come Home (I'm sure it's a great movie, but I cried so much that my parents had to take me home. I've never seen the end)
Just the Way You Are (1984; Kristy McNichol was my favorite actress!)

I never really sigh up to post replies, but this top five came to easily to mind, I had to put it out there. It's funny how awesome these movies must have been to me at the time that they spring to mind so quickly at the question. Here goes:

1. Raiders of the Lost Ark (My cousins and I reinacted several scenes constantly: propeller to the face, Indy shoots swordsman, switching idol with sand bag)
2. Return of the Jedi (Luke was a ninja at Jaba's sand pit)
3. The Karate Kid (I was sure this movie actually taught me Karate)
4. Back to the Future (Skateboards and Electric Guitars)
5. Rocky III (with Mr. T, and I was at the age where it never really occured to me that there might have been a Rocky I & II)

sorry nick, it's all coming back to me now. as a matter of fact, i remember as a kid drawing a picture based on the movie, and my mom getting mad at me because the track (as in the movie) was called "helltrack" and well, you know, that's not nice to say...

and also, ben, good call on ernest goes to camp. i'm pretty sure i'd still find that one awesome too.

Ok Ok...Space Camp is cheesy but it still takes me back to the day...as well as Flight of the Navigator...I had a thing for space and time travel as a kid...

And I'll be the first to admit that I currently own all Ernest movies that have been released on DVD...even some of the crappy ones...They're just nice to have....Camp is still the best though

Does any one remember "The Boy Who Could Fly"? I don't have a top five yet (I will), but that tops the list...

1. RAD - (BMX bike movie with Lori Loughlin)
2. BMX Bandits (BMX movie with Nicole Kidman, really!)
3. Labrynth (staring David Bowie...enough said)
4. Babes In Toyland (staring Drew Barrymore and Keanu Reaves...my sister loved this movie... I on the other hand never like it... I get nauseous just thinking of it.)
5. The Muppet Movie (I know, everyone loves Kermit, but him singing "The Rainbow Connection" at the begining of the movie brings back too many nightmarish flash backs of me having to sing a verse of that song solo in 6th grade... I don't want to talk about it)
