waiting for a shower

We're all here at some Super 8 in West Virginia taking turns getting cleaned up before soundcheck. Why is that whenever six grown men have nothing to do but flip through basic cable we always end up watching extreme police videos? We may never know.
The show last night was pretty fun. Monitors were ridiculously awful, but I feel the show went well despite. Our friend Mark Polack is playing bass for us this season and this was his first show. He was great. A bunch of our internet cc.net friends were there last night as well. I was telling a few of them about the movie Hands on a Hardbody. Here is the contest's official site, and here is the movie on Amazon. One of the funniest movies I have ever seen.
And just because I feel I've gone too many hours without being embarassed today, I just stumbled upon this old photo of yours truly in seventh grade...

(Note the Michael W. Smith poster and dc talk Free at Last cd...)
All right, my turn is up, gotta run. Thanks to everybody who came out last night and to all of you who are going to be here tonight. Oh, and tomorrow, we're playing with Aimee Mann, Over the Rhine and the Indigo Girls, and I'm doing a solo set as well. So if you're in North Carolina, you don't want to not be there. Showertime!!

Oh man, that picture is AWESOME! Are you showing off your stereo???? It was great hanging with you again, you guys sounded great despite some sound issues... see in a November!
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I love you, Andy.
[Do you know how much I want to see that show tomorrow?]
That is indeed Nu Thang. I had it on cassette.
Now I/ need a shower.
Yo, who's doin' it?
God is doing a new thang!
Oh, man, that's just sick...
That is absolutely the best picture ever. I laughed really hard...and then even harder when I realized who it was.
And I don't want to not be at that show. Sounds like it won't not be much fun.
I'm still laughing at the picture.
I'm taking a class this semester from Emily Salier's father and he is phenomenal!
there aren't words...
Man, I was so that exact looking guy back around 1992-94 as well. Weren't we all.
Over the Rhine is amazingly talented... what a show that would be.
Exciting!!! Nice pic...haha...dc talk and michael...that's awesome! I was a Keith Green and Amy Grant fan personally but the jesus freak cd was great and I TOTALLY LOVE Phil Joel's falsetto vocals!!! Do you have some songs that are sung in falsetto? Because I love songs like that, you know, like Phil does alot of?
Nice----I think I can still rap about how Toby Mac is back---
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *deep breath*
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
You are a secure man to post pictures like that. :-) What an awesome picture.
It was a great show. Loved the solo stuff - my wife and I loved "The Morning" - not sure I did the "Ohhhh" singing part any justice at all. Need to stick to art.
Thanks for keeping it real.
That Micheal W. Smith poster is awesome. I bet you still know every word to "Love Crusade" don't you, Andy?
I sent my lady friend to the store to get me an orange... and a Snicka.
sadly, i too was signing on to tell you that was Nu Thang
I gotta say, I haven't checked out your blogs in a couple of weeks and I went and saw that pic. That HAS to be used either to promote a concert or something. I might put it as my wall. It is awesome.
