Ella had a hard night last night. Many tears. Probably gas. I've read two hundred pages of East of Eden in the last two nights. I don't start until I get in bed. This means I've read three or four hours each night. The Gullahorns are here in the studio singing background vocals on the new Andy P record. I'm really tired. East of Eden is really, really, really great, though. You should read it.

Well, I wouldn't mind reading East of Eden. But this guy I saw in concert a few weeks ago suggested I read this book called "Dalit Freedom: Now and Forever." So, he seemed like a smart guy, and I'm taking his advice now.
You get more opportunity to read than most of us do, Dad. ;)
andy, if you can function well on 4 hours of sleep, go with it. 8 hours is way overrated.
am i the only one who has never read steinback?
I haven't read any either, Bryan. I agree with you on the sleep thing. I want to get down to two hours a night.
Kinda ironic that Andy is pimping East of Eden. It's the book that Oprah promoted when she reopened her "book club".
Of course, if both Andy and Oprah like it, you know it's gotta be good stuff!
oprah, you were right?
Steinbeck has fallen out of favor with the English and school sorts. I know here at the school I teach at, most of his books have found their way out of the curriculum. Sometimes his writing is distant, but the people are always very identifiable.
