two questions, one correction

Okay, I have two questions and one correction to leave here really quickly before I get to go pick up my family at the airport.

CORRECTION : Chris Weigel apparently tried to use "turkey biscuit" as a "breakfast food" in Scattergories, not Cason. (See last entry for more details...) My apologies to Cason for the defamation of character. Please don't sue. And I still don't think it counts, which leads to...

QUESTION #1 : Do you think this site could benefit from a forum again? Now that people actually visit here on a regular basis, is that something you guys would be interested in? It would be for you, so if you want it, let me know. I'll try to set it up so the Russian Mail-Order brides can't spam us again this time. Which leads to...

QUESTION #2 : Why did I wake up with "I'm Proud To Be An American" by ol' bearded whats-his-name in my head this morning, and why won't it leave?

(question #2B : what is ol' bearded whats-his-name's name? It's on the tip of my brain...)

I believe you are referring to Lee Greenwood. And Thanks, now it's stuck in my head too.

Not nearly as bad as finding myself walking down the hall to my office trying to get the music from a Barbie movie out of my head though.

Yep, that's Lee Greenwood. Do you feel better now? I'll turn the iPod on in a moment to try to get it out of my head.

I dunno whether I'd use the forum or not. I'm on the rocksmyfaceoff.net/forum enough that another one might just do me in. :-)

I'd say talk Bryan and Geof into setting up something for you at rocksmyfaceoff.net. Then you can have a forum without having to maintain it yourself, and it'll even come with participants included. ;)

Whoops... I also publicly defamed lil Cason – and on his birthday no less. I feel shame and pray for his forgiveness.

If you do a forum, make sure there's a section for Russian mail order brides. ...you never know when you might need one.

Seriously, do without the forum. I like the format of the site as it is.

um. yeah, forums create groupies that really no one likes to be around anyway, especially if you're not cool enough to be a groupie. inside jokes are way too over rated anyway.

i'm with ron. stick with what you got.

A Forum is an ok thing, but you always run the risk of writers of experimental fiction chiming in. This is not to mention the risk of PLang and Bobes types. I suppose if there are enough people to get some good discussion going, then it might be good, otherwise it might be better to keep the current format. If there was a discussion board, you could count on me chiming in every now and again, so you can take that as an encouragement or a deterrent. Russian mail order brides...I'd forgotten about that one. I'm listening to the new Cardigans record and it's good.
