"Andrew is one of a only a handful of artists whose work is able to reach beyond the momentary and touch what is most basic and fundamental. He consistently makes the kind of music that I hope to hear every time I turn to music. It is kind, courageous, flawed, and human. I am thankful for the human that he is and the humanity of his work. It reminds me of what I hope for from my own."

- Matt Odmark, artist, jars of clay

"Andrew Osenga is one of my favorite songwriters. The sheer courage of his writing is a wonder to me - few artists I know are more dangerously honest and daringly hopeful than Andrew. His songs are a study in contrasts: the darkness of his own fear, doubts, and even sin set against the pure white light of the hope that answers and absorbs that darkness. When Andrew writes a song, it seems like there's nothing he holds back, as if he has no sense of self-preservation. It's like reading intimate journal entries that invite us to be witness to his journey, and in his journey we find help to make sense of our own.

Songwriters can be tempted to write smaller half-truths in order to be more accessible and sell records, but in Andrew Osenga's songs I find a convincing and sturdy grace that makes me grateful that he loves us enough to tell us giant-sized, terrifying, and beautiful truths - the full width and breadth of truth as he has experienced it. We listen as he throws himself up against these over and over again until it shapes him into something like a new creation, and we see how the hope of the gospel is tested and proved."

Over the years, Andy tracked guitars and background vocals on several of my records. He has a contagious laugh, amazing musical instincts, and his musical contributions in the studio are invaluable. I'm a huge fan of his songwriting, so it was a real treat to co-write my song "True Things" with Andy and my husband, Dave.
